Assalammualaikum..~~
Tadaaaaa.... welcome baby Shiro... okay.. not baby.. -_-.. already one year old last week.. hihi :p
We had him from the Famiyu Pet Store last week.In Japan, usually when you get a pet(mostly cat or dog), they already have the microchip in their neck so that you can detect them whenever they got lost.We got Shiro for about 54000++yen. In Japan, the cost having a pet cat is not that burdensome but still, there are many things to be considered and before having a pet cat.
1.Check your apartment
In Japan, most of the apartment are not (ペット可)no-pet-allowed because of the noise and environmental hygienic problems. So better check whether you can have a pet or not around your apartment.
2.Get them a microchip
If you have your pet only indoor(in the house), then it's not a problem as you will not loose them. But if your pet are allowed to get outside, it's better to get them a collar and microchip as in Japan, the Japanese are quite strict with the stray animals and trust me, you don't want your pet being caught by the animal control. If your pet caught by the animal control, you'll need to pay for the expenses per day of your animal at the quarantine and the charges(fine) for letting your pet straying around..!!
3.Get vaccination(ワクチン)
Pets like cats are highly advised to get their vaccine every year to keep them at their maximum health. The cost for vaccination for cats usually takes about (5000yen to 7000yen) ,varies according types of pets and age.
4.Get flea treatment(フェラリア)
Every month, you can get the flea treatment for about (1300 to 1400yen) for cats. For getting neutered or spayed, you'll need to discuss with the vet and get a medical check regularly at least twice a year.Plus, it is good if you can have the worm medication for your cat too.
