Our Success Story

Assalammualaikum readers..

How's the day going on? It's hot in Japan now. Can't stand the heat that much in Summer.

Actually, today we're going to share a little story about our success in pursuing our studies to Japan.I
Textbooks
(Puteri Nurul Syamilah) and my best pal Muahammad Khairiakmal, had been always together, forever side by side, helping each other no matter what happens. Starting to know each other when we both were selected to enter the preparation program called "Rancangan Program Khas Jepun" at Ambang Asuhan Jepun(AAJ),Universiti Malaya, at first,we were the rivals in studies, competing in getting better marks and being the best.Yup, we're friends but still, being 'more' in everything were much more worth than the friendship its own.More like "penyakit budak pandai" la. Studying at AAJ was not that easy and all the students need to learn fast and master the study method,or not you'll fall behind while others are already much more further ahead.

But, somehow things got wrong on the middle of the journey. I got problems in mastering the way to understand and memorize in certain subjects until some of the grades got worst and I got a warn from JPA. I cried a lot as I tried my best in every exams and the results were not as I expected. So many silly mistakes and much more aspects that need to be improvise. But then, Khairi was there for me.He helped me lot in studies, exchanging ideas and ways to achieve better results, and starting from that day, "gaining better results than others" were not priority, "together we gain the best results" were what we aimed for, even till today.I started to gain confidence in studies and I tried my best in every exams till I got first place for several times for Chemistry exams. After two years going through the challenging preparation, we passed the Entrance Japanese University (EJU) examinations and we're accepted to Saga University,Japan.

Both studying and living in Japan are not easy and we need to be much more independent and strong here.Far from family, friends and teachers, there is no one to tell you what's right and wrong here. Studying here for overseas students are thrice harder than the Japanese. As for the Japanese, they'll just need to read and memorize but for us, we'll need first read and find the meaning and pronunciations for every kanji that we do not know, then we need to memorize the ways to write each kanji, then only we can understand and memorize the topics' contents. There were countless of students that already gave up, but there were more students who stay strong and fight till the end. We're now in our second year and two more years to go before we graduate with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering certificate.

As for living in Japan, the cost are high in here and I barely able to save any yen for the first five months studying here.Biasala, perempuan kan~ "Shopping and ladies are besties that can never be apart". At least that is what I thought for the last twelve months, but now, no more wasting money. Khairi is always great in saving and managing money.I was shocked when he showed me his account book and on the same time, I was ashamed of myself for not saving any yen for my future. From that on, our daily conversation does not limit to studies only, but growing into other aspects too, about good politics,Islamic concern, financial management, health and fitness, and many more.In the past, we dreamt to have a good business with a big company but that was only a dream because we had nothing, not enough money for everything. But now, we started slowly by having a strong plan.We plan our future, for the next five to ten years. Then we get on action. We save money little by little and now, I can see our future getting reality and secure, insyaallah.Just remember, you don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great..! Ganbareee..!

We're so grateful that Allah had granted our childhood wish to pursue our studies in Japan. All these successes may seemed little to others but to us, they were all great journey and worth going through. We've been through all the ups and downs together, growing stronger day by day and hoping to turn into better adult in future. Insyaallah after graduate, we'll get married and have a great family till jannah. *Hihi*
