We had great time spending last holidays around Oita..!!We got ourselves a really good ticket which is the Monkey Marine Ticket,sold by Oita Kotsu with a really great deal at 2450¥..!!! With this ticket,you're good enough to have a fantastic day around Oita by bus.
To purchase this ticket,you can easily get it from Beppu station tourist office or Oita Station Bus Centre.You'll get a row of four tickets,two for the round trip bus (oita/beppu station to Takasakiyama Monkey Park & Umitamago aquarium) and another two for the park entrance.
Well, lets hear about the Umitamago Oita Marine Palace Aquarium.If you had purchased the Monkey Marine Ticket,you don't have to go to the ticket counter when you had arrived.Just head straight to the entrance gate and start exploring around..!! There are various kind of sea creatures from the smallest to the giant sized, and we enjoyed them all. The Giant Circular Tank particularly is very big in size and amazingly impressive.Plus,the diverse and colourful ecologies there are just simply superb.
We loved the animal show the most and we're so entertained by the walrus,bearded seal,earless seal and pelican's creative performances.What's more cool is that, all visitors got a chance to touch the friendly animals and have some pic so closely.Oohhh,you don't know how much i wanna hug that walrus..!! And about the cute dolphins, we didn't even blink our eyes..! Haha.. We had a great time around and the splashing water from the dolphin's diving, believe it or not,we're happy being splashed at even though it was cold.I guess we love dolphins so much huh..!
If you bring your kids along,i bet they'll be thrilled and excited having an experience touching the fishes,starfishes and other sea creatures at the Indoor Touching Pool.Not forget to mention about the amazing jellyfishes,you can watch the beautiful views of motions and colour changes that will amaze you.
Good to know that there are plenty space to have a rest at and you can have a meal at the Restaurant A Zoo(2nd floor) or Cafeteria FanFare which is located at the 1st floor outside the exit gate.Oohh.. you can easily have a reentrance at the exit gate using the same ticket on the current day.
Opposite to the Umitamago Aquarium,you can have a nice walk around the Takasakiyama and have an unique opportunity to watch wild monkeys.
