My husband's first Chinese New Year

It's Khairi first Chinese New Year...!!!

Celebrating Chinese New Year festival has always been a tradition in my family even though we're Malay because my mom is still a Chinese even after marriage. We have popo and kung kung(grandma and grandpa), all the chiu chiu and chiu mu and also ah yee (uncles and aunts)gathering around during CNY and i love the Angpau part the most.. hihi..

Since we got married, Khairi had been looking forward for this CNY coz it's going to be his first but unfortunately we can't get back to Malaysia to celebrate as we're busy with the researches here in Japan.Maybe we can celebrate with the others next year...!!

When we celebrate CNY,it's all about red.. haha..We had Yee Sang this year and we prepared some of the must delicious meal like Sweet and Sour Fish,Oyster Sauce with Shitake Mushroom Chicken and Garlic Steamed Prawns.Having a mandarin and packet drinks is a must, of course,just like we always do in Kuala Kangsar..!!And as for the decoration,we had plenty of angpaus which we then made some cute mini lantern and played some CNY songs to lift up the environment. I wish we have the fortune cookie..! Huhu..

Btw, Happy Chinese New Year to all Malaysians & have a happy and prosperity year..!! Gong Hei Fat Choy...!!
