It's almost New Year and i'm sure veryone is busy with the end year ... As for me, i'm busy reading and studying recipes for the coming New Year and i found some good recipes that i can try out.Recently, i got a stock of blue crabs from Bahrain and i've been busy googling crab recipes~ Hihi.. Honestly, i really want to go to Hokkaido and taste the blue crab there,but i barely able to find time to go to Sapporo coz it's too far~ T______T.
I got this Stir Fried Crab with Ginger and Green Onion Hong Kong style recipe from the 日日煮. This recipe is very simple and yet the meal taste delicious.Do try it for the next coming New Year celebrations or for the Chinese New Year day :) Yummylicious~ ~ ~
You will need:
For crab:
medium size fresh blue crab
80g of green onions, sliced。
40g of ginger, sliced
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
Some red chili peppers, chopped
2 tablespoons of corn starch
Oyster Sauce:
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
Dissolved in 2 tbsp of water
Thickening Sauce:
1 tbsp of corn starch
2 tsp of chicken powder
Dissolved in 30ml of water

- Chop the fresh crab into pieces. Wash and wipe dry. Coat the crabs in corn starch.
- In a frying pan, heat up some oil on high heat (180 degrees.) Deep fry the crabs until golden, about 5 minutes. Drain off excess oil on kitchen towels. Set aside.
- In the same frying pan, remove the oil. Saute the green onions, minced garlic, and ginger until aromatic, about 2 minutes. Add the deep fry crabs. Saute thoroughly for 2 minutes.
- Add the oyster sauce and mix well. Finally, add the thickening sauce and remove from heat immediately after the sauce thickens.Serve hot :)
